Gorgeous day at the island with the warm sun heating up the lake. We knew the ice wouldn't stay this way for much longer so we took this opportunity to enjoy it. It didn't look totally safe to go far out on the ice but some people did. And since the ice close to the beach was solid enough to stand on, then it must have been alright further out too. The ice made that wonderful crackling noise when we walked on it. There are few things that I love more than days like these.
